Internship Description

This is an internship for the curious folks who ask questions, share stories, and want to deepen their connection to place.

Our Community Naturalist Internship is a storytelling and community action internship for high school youth, ages 14-20. Interns will receive special training on how to share stories about Tucson culture, history, and ecology. They will then have the opportunity to hit the streets and tell their stories out in the community at a variety of Spring events.

  • Earn $400 in January for completing all internship program requirements
  • Participate in:
    • Team building, learning, and interpretation workshops (see calendar below)
    • Creating their own interpretive stories based on topics of interest
    • Practicing research and presentation skills
