Ironwood Tree Experience’s- Urban Field Station (UFS) is located downtown with an open interior landscape that serves as a lively, fun, and unique venue for ITE operations and programs. The UFS is a launch pad for outdoor exploration, adventure and action in the ecological and human communities within Sonoran Desert Ecosystem. Projecting expansiveness, creativity, growth and opportunities, the UFS welcomes youth, staff, professional colleagues and supporters into a vibrant arena that lays bare diverse resources that excite and inspire.

Modeled from Biological Field Stations found across the planet, these field stations provide,”invaluable services to local communities…” and, “vary greatly in size from a few urban acres to thousands of acres spread across a remote landscape.” They serve the welfare of the people and places they exist by “advancing our understanding of the Earth by supporting research, teaching, and public education.”
